AMP Ltd announced its first half 2026 results, showing a 33% increase in underlying net profit after tax (NPAT) to $174 million. Assets under management rose to $167.6 billion, driven by momentum in wealth and retirement businesses. Platforms net cashflows increased by 33% to $3.1 billion, with Superannuation & Investments turning positive for the first time since 2017. Contributions from China partnerships more than doubled to $56 million, supported by growth in retirement savings and pensions. AMP Bank generated a surplus capital position of $89 million, and the company returned $201 million to shareholders through dividends and buybacks. An additional $150 million on-market share buyback and an interim dividend of 3.0 cents per share, 20% franked, were announced.
