Viking Mines Reports High Tungsten Grades in Historical Stockpiles
- Historical rock stockpiles at Linka show tungsten grades up to 1.8% WO3
- Multiple zones of tungsten mineralisation confirmed in trench sampling
- Ore sorting testwork underway to assess feasibility
Viking Mines Limited has reported assay results from the Phase 2 field mapping and sampling campaign at the Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada. The campaign, completed in May 2026, collected 98 samples, including 63 trench samples and 30 samples from three historical rock stockpile areas. The results show promising tungsten mineralisation, with assays up to 1.8% WO3 in the historical rock stockpiles. The stockpiles, containing mineralised garnet tactite intermingled with barren monzonite and limestone waste rock, represent a potential candidate for sensor-based ore sorting. Testwork is underway at TOMRA in Germany, with results expected shortly. The company plans to conduct systematic sampling and metallurgical testwork to establish representative grades and tonnage potential.
