Hawk Resources Announces Copper Mineralisation in Cactus Corridor
- Five of seven drill holes in Comet zone intersected visible copper mineralisation
- Spot pXRF assays confirmed copper mineralisation up to 66.6%
- Potential for gold mineralisation indicated by anomalous silver, arsenic, and antimony assays
Hawk Resources Limited announced the intersection of strong near-surface copper mineralisation in the Comet zone of the Cactus Corridor at its Cactus copper-gold project in Utah, USA. Five of the seven drill holes completed in the Cactus Corridor drilling program intersected visible copper mineralisation. Spot portable XRF (pXRF) readings on drill core confirmed copper mineralisation up to 66.6%. The copper mineralisation occurs in veinlets, veins, fractures, coarse blebs, and disseminations within tourmaline breccia and altered quartz monzonite intrusive. The drilling program is focused on delineating the potential for near-surface mineralisation along the Cactus Corridor, which trends northwest for approximately 1 km from the historical Comet deposit through the Cactus mine to the New Years prospect.
