Patronus Resources Announces Shallow Gold at Golden Dyke
- First modern drilling at Davies No.2 in over 30 years
- Significant shallow gold intercepts reported
- Validation of historical drilling confirms potential
Patronus Resources (ASX: PTN) has reported encouraging results from the first modern drilling at Davies No.2 in over 30 years, within the Golden Dyke area of its Pine Creek Project in the Northern Territory. Six Reverse Circulation (RC) holes were completed for 472 meters, intersecting significant shallow gold mineralization. Notable intercepts include 10 meters at 2.05 g/t Au from 52 meters and 9 meters at 1.32 g/t Au from 77 meters. The mineralization is associated with quartz veining and up to 10% visual sulphides. Historical drilling validation confirmed several significant intercepts, such as 36 meters at 1.51 g/t Au from surface. The Davies No.2 prospect remains open along strike and at depth, with follow-up drilling planned. The broader Golden Dyke area, which includes Davies No.2, remains largely untested by modern exploration.
The Company plans to conduct further drilling at Davies No.2 and across the broader Golden Dyke area, subject to regulatory approvals.
