Encouraging Ore Sorting Results for Quinn Fluorspar Project
- Highly encouraging TOMRA ore sorting results demonstrate clear discrimination between high-grade fluorspar and waste
- Exceptional head grades confirmed across all four principal mineralised domains
- Low levels of gangue and deleterious elements, meeting Metspar and Acidspar product requirements
- Potential for low-CAPEX Direct Shipping Metspar product with minimal beneficiation
- Early waste rejection could reduce downstream processing requirements
OD6 Metals Limited (ASX: OD6) reports highly encouraging results from its ongoing metallurgical development program for the Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada, USA. The results demonstrate the potential for low-cost upgrading and production of clean fluorspar concentrates. The program combines modern mineralogical characterisation and conventional beneficiation studies with sensor-based ore sorting investigations by TOMRA. The preliminary results show clear discrimination between high-grade fluorspar and waste material, with exceptional head grades confirmed across all four principal mineralised domains. The high-grade fluorspar material also has very low levels of gangue and deleterious elements, meeting Metspar and Acidspar product requirements. The results support the potential for a low-CAPEX Direct Shipping Metspar product with minimal beneficiation, offering near-term cash flow potential. Early waste rejection through ore sorting could also reduce downstream processing requirements, including grinding, milling, and flotation.
