Metro Mining Ltd. provided an operational update for its Bauxite Hills Mine in Cape York, Far North Queensland. In July 2026, the company shipped 700,000 Wet Metric Tonnes (WMT) and took the Ikamba offshore floating terminal offline from 20-27 July to replace hydraulic cylinders on Crane 1, resuming full operations on 30 July. Geared vessels were used to minimize shipping impact. Waste stripping volumes increased by 140% year-to-date, reaching 1 million BCM, due to additional equipment and productivity improvements.
