Lycopodium Awarded EPCM Contract for San Cristóbal Silver Oxide Project
- Lycopodium awarded EPCM contract for San Cristóbal Mine in Bolivia
- Contract valued at approximately A$37 million
- Project aims to expand existing 52,000 tpd plant with new 15,000 tpd plant
- Expected completion in 2030
Lycopodium Limited, a global leader in integrated engineering, project, construction, and asset management, has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) contract for the development of a new silver oxide plant at the San Cristóbal Mine in Bolivia. The EPCM contract is valued at approximately A$37 million. The new plant, which will treat oxidized material and produce silver doré, is a brownfields expansion to the currently operating 52,000 tonnes per day (tpd) process plant that treats sulphide ores from a polymetallic ore body and produces zinc-silver and lead-silver concentrates. Upon completion, both plants will operate simultaneously. Works are set to commence immediately, with completion anticipated in 2030.
The project is expected to significantly enhance the mine's production capacity and position it as a major global silver producer.
