Lunnon Metals Finds New Gold Mineralised Structure at Benmore
Key Points
  • $13 million FY2027 exploration program at Foster-Baker
  • New gold mineralised structure intersected in third drill hole
  • High-grade gold intervals up to 8.37 g/t Au
  • Assays pending for remaining sections of drill holes
Full Summary

Lunnon Metals Limited (ASX: LM8) has announced the discovery of a new gold mineralised structure at the Benmore prospect, part of its Foster-Baker gold project in the St Ives gold camp. The discovery was made in the third diamond drill hole (JAN26DD_011) of the $13 million FY2027 exploration program, which aims to test the previously reported Exploration Target. The intersected structure, estimated at 40m true width, contains gold grades ranging from 0.03 g/t Au to 8.37 g/t Au over 0.36m and 7.26 g/t Au over 0.32m. Assays for the remaining sections of the drill holes are pending, and further drilling and geological interpretation are required to determine the scale and significance of the mineralisation. The Benmore target area, previously dominated by nickel mining, has seen limited gold exploration due to the presence of extensive surface infrastructure. The identification of this new gold mineralised structure is a significant step in the exploration program.

Outlook

Lunnon Metals will continue to analyze the orientation, extent, and significance of the newly discovered gold mineralised structure at Benmore. Further drilling, geological interpretation, and assay results will be required to determine the scale and significance of the mineralisation.
