Buxton Resources Ltd Announces Assay Results from Madman Prospectivity
- Assay results from 147 samples indicate gold and copper mineralization
- Highest gold-copper result: 0.37 m at 0.239 g/t Au and 1,630 ppm Cu
- Untested conductor north of MD002DD identified as high-priority target
- DHEM surveying and assays for MD003DD planned for late August and September
- Exploration activities at Madman Project continue to progress
Buxton Resources Ltd (ASX:BUX) has reported assay results from diamond drill hole MD002DD at the Madman Project in the Gibson Desert, Western Australia. The assay results for 147 samples covering 140.8 meters indicate the presence of gold and copper mineralization, with the strongest result being 0.37 meters at 0.239 g/t Au and 1,630 ppm Cu. The results also show that the highest gold and copper mineralization is associated with pyrrhotite, a highly conductive mineral. The company has identified an untested conductor approximately 350 meters north of MD002DD, which remains the highest-priority target for follow-up drilling. Downhole electromagnetic surveying of MD003DD is scheduled for late August, with assays expected by late September. Buxton Managing Director Marty Moloney commented on the significance of the findings and the potential for further exploration at the Madman Project.
The company plans to continue exploration activities at the Madman Project, with a focus on the untested conductor north of MD002DD and further drilling to test additional conductive anomalies.
