GYG Announces Record FY26 Earnings and Exit from US

Guzman y Gomez Limited (GYG) announced its results for the financial year ended 30 June 2026 (FY26). Network sales increased by 17.9% to $1.378 billion, driven by growth across all channels, dayparts, formats, and ownership types. Underlying EBITDA rose 28.7% to $85 million, reflecting strong sales growth and significant expansion of underlying EBITDA as a percentage of network sales. The company completed its exit from US operations, with costs at the lower end of the guided range. Underlying NPAT increased 29.7% to $53.4 million, while statutory NPAT, including discontinued operations, was a loss of $(26.7) million. GYG deployed $100 million in on-market share buyback during the year and declared a fully franked final dividend of 48.0 cents per share, including a special dividend of 14.4 cents per share.
FY27 underlying EBITDA as a percentage of network sales expected to be 6.7-6.9%
GYG expects to open 35 new restaurants in Australia in FY27, with comp sales growth expected to continue at mid-single digits. The company targets underlying EBITDA as a percentage of network sales of ~10% over the medium term.
