Credit Corp Group to Acquire HSBC's Credit Card Run-off Book
- Credit Corp to acquire HSBC's credit card run-off book
- Expected completion in early 2027
- Consideration expected to be approximately A$150 million
- FY27 market guidance revised upwards
Credit Corp Group Limited (ASX:CCP) has signed a binding agreement with HSBC Bank Australia Limited to acquire its Australian credit card run-off book. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete early in calendar 2027. The precise consideration will be determined closer to completion but is expected to be approximately A$150 million. This acquisition will revise Credit Corp's FY27 market guidance upwards, with updated ranges for PDL acquisitions, gross lending volumes, NPAT, and EPS.
FY27 PDL acquisitions: $300-380 million, Gross lending volumes: $445-495 million, NPAT: $112-120 million, EPS: 164-176 cents
The acquisition is expected to achieve Credit Corp's hurdle return, although the duration of the receivables will be shorter than typical for a book of charged-off debts.
