Perpetual Limited (ASX:PPT) announced a non-cash impairment charge of A$63.5 million against the carrying value of goodwill for Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley LLC (TSW) due to a client's intention to redeem approximately US$4.6 billion from TSW's International Equity strategy in Q2 of FY27. The impairment charge, deemed an adjusting item, will be recognized as a Significant Item in Perpetual's FY26 statutory results. The charge is non-cash and does not affect Perpetual's liquidity, compliance with banking covenants, or impact UPAT, the financial metric on which Perpetual's dividend payout ratio is determined.
