Lindian Resources Limited (ASX: LIN) has executed a Stockpile Access and Option Agreement with Summit Atom Rare Earth Company LLP to acquire 100% ownership of the SARECO Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate (MREC) hydrometallurgical processing facility in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan. The agreement includes an exclusive option to acquire 13,389 tonnes of previously extracted material, with over 7,500 tonnes already prepared for transport. Lindian also holds the exclusive right to evaluate an additional 15,000-20,000 tonnes of feedstock without upfront cash consideration. The Aktau stockpile has the potential to provide Lindian with exposure to high-value dysprosium, terbium, and yttrium markets, which are crucial for high-performance permanent magnets and various strategic applications. The Aktau-Stepnogorsk rail corridor provides an established logistics path, enhancing the feasibility of this opportunity.
