Iceni Gold Limited (ASX: ICL) has announced significant gold mineralisation at its Goose Well target within the 14 Mile Well Gold Project. Diamond drillhole FMDD0058 intersected a broad gold mineralised interval of 20.62m at 0.45 g/t Au from 208.47m, including multiple higher-grade intervals. The results support two styles of gold mineralisation within the Goose Well Intrusive Complex (GWIC): broad low-grade stockwork mineralisation with quartz veins hosting higher-grade gold, and quartz veining and silica carbonate altered monzogranite associated with lamprophyres proximal to the Gander Fault. The Gander Fault is interpreted as a major fluid pathway, with gold mineralisation developed within favourable intrusive rocks and structures west of the fault. This shifts the exploration focus towards second and third-order structures, intrusive contacts, and vein systems associated with the Gander Fault. Next-phase east-west oriented RC drilling is being planned to test these structural targets and define the continuity and geometry of the gold system.
