Arovella Therapeutics Ltd (ASX: ALA) has successfully manufactured and released the first clinical batch of ALA-101, marking a significant milestone in its development of 'off-the-shelf' cell therapies for blood cancers. The first clinical trial site, located at The Alfred in Melbourne, has been activated following the completion of ethics and governance approvals. With the site open and product ready, Arovella anticipates dosing its first patient later this month. ALA-101 is a donor-derived cell therapy designed to be delivered faster and at a lower cost compared to conventional therapies derived from a patient's own cells.
