Argosy Minerals Limited (ASX: AGY) announced the successful completion of lithium chloride crystallisation testworks for the Rincon Lithium Project in Salta Province, Argentina. The testworks, conducted by a major European technology provider, verified the crystallisation unit process design, achieving a lithium chloride product yield of over 99%. These successful results provide key data to support the ongoing Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) program. The testworks were designed to simulate the crystallisation process as closely as possible to steady-state conditions, determining key physical properties such as boiling point elevation at the final concentration factor. The positive outcomes confirm that the combination of pre-concentration, NaOH treatment, solid-liquid separation, and evaporation crystallisation provides a technically viable process route for producing specification-grade anhydrous lithium chloride solid/crystal product from the company's concentrated lithium brine feedstock.
