First Au Limited has initiated a maiden RC drill program at the historic First Hit Gold Mine, part of its Riverina East Gold Project in Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields. The program targets the depth extension of the mine, which produced approximately 30,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 7.7g/t during its 15 months of operation in the early 2000s. First Au has commissioned an independent Perth-based consultancy to complete a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for First Hit, incorporating results from the current drill program. The drill program is expected to take approximately two weeks, with assay results expected within the quarter.
