Exceptional drill results at Eagle support Hemi DFS upside
- New Mineral Resource infill drilling results beneath the Hemi DFS pit design for Eagle include exceptional intercepts up to 78.1m @ 7.9g/t Au
- Results extend Eagle mineralisation by at least 100m down plunge, with mineralisation still open down plunge and along strike
- New results enhance future underground mining potential and provide potential upside to the production metrics of the Hemi DFS
De Grey Mining has announced new results from infill and extension drilling at the Eagle deposit at the Hemi Gold Project. The drilling program was designed to improve confidence levels in the continuity of higher cut-off grade mineralisation and future Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) models. The results include an outstanding intersection of 78.1m @ 7.9g/t Au from 457.0m in hole HEDD347, as well as other significant intercepts such as 23.9m @ 5.1g/t Au, 11.2m @ 3.0g/t Au, and 17.8m @ 2.0g/t Au. These new results extend the Eagle mineralisation by at least 100m down plunge, with mineralisation still open down plunge and along strike. The company's previous Hemi Underground Mining Conceptual Study, based on the November 2023 MRE, presented a strong case for further studies into the future potential of underground mining at Hemi. The new results enhance this potential and provide potential upside to the production metrics of the Hemi Definitive Feasibility Study. De Grey plans to recommence diamond drilling at Eagle in the first quarter of 2025 to complete the remaining holes of the current program, and to conduct additional studies on a potential Eagle underground operation to a Scoping Study level.
The new results from the Eagle deposit at Hemi enhance the potential for future underground mining and provide potential upside to the production metrics of the Hemi Definitive Feasibility Study. De Grey plans to conduct further drilling and studies to assess the underground mining potential.
