Lawfinance Ltd (ASX: LAW) has released its December 2023 Quarterly Activities Report and Appendix 4C. Key highlights include:- Completion of Conditional Funding Transaction and debt restructuring: The Funder Lucerne LCF Pty Ltd provided three instalments of Tranche 1 funding totaling approximately US$750,000 in 2Q23. This funding was used for general operating expenses. The debt restructuring resulted in the release and discharge of the Secured Term Syndicated Facility Agreement (SAF), the release of the company from its obligations under the EFI Facility Agreement, and the sale of its subsidiary NHF SPV III.- Cash collections of US$5.53 million: The NHF portfolio is managed as two separate sub-portfolios, with the legacy EFI-funded portfolio and the growth PFG-funded portfolio. Cash collected from both books was US$2.8 million, with collections on a downward trend reflecting a contracting book.- No new originations: The company's operating business, National Health Finance, has not originated any new claims since September 2022, with the focus remaining on the Funding Transaction and the Trident HG initiative.- Trident HG update: The Supplier Service Agreement with the US's largest hospital management company was executed in March 2023. The company is in discussions with several hospitals and medical suppliers in the Southwestern US and Texas, but the timing of the commencement of Trident HG operations remains uncertain.- Operating expenditure: Average monthly OPEX during the quarter was US$0.20 million, down slightly from US$0.22 million in the previous quarter, and expected to decrease further in the coming months.
