High Grade Discoveries at Agostinho Highlight Caldeira Scale
- Exceptional ionic clay intercepts up to 19,183ppm Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO)
- Enriched Magnetic Rare Earth Oxide (MREO) up to 6,691ppm
- MREO peak zones up to 38% with an average of 30.4%, an increase of 7.4% compared to the Global Resource average
Meteoric Resources NL (ASX: MEI) has provided an update on recent drilling completed at the Agostinho Prospect, located in the north of its 100%-owned Caldeira Rare Earth Ionic Clay Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The company drilled 3,301m for 116 holes and identified exceptional ionic clay intercepts with TREO grades up to 19,183ppm, including enriched MREO up to 6,691ppm. The MREO peak zones reached up to 38% with an average of 30.4%, a 7.4% increase compared to the Global Resource average. The drilling also identified elevated Heavy Magnetic Rare Earths (HREO) up to 2% of TREO. The results confirm the extensive nature of mineralization outside the current resource base and highlight the opportunity for Meteoric to target enriched zones of magnetic and heavy rare earths across the broader Caldeira Project. Data validation and geologic modeling for the Agostinho and Barra do Pacu deposits are underway, with Resource Estimations expected in the June quarter of 2025.
Meteoric will continue to focus on data validation and geologic modeling for the Agostinho and Barra do Pacu deposits, with Resource Estimations expected in the June quarter of 2025. The company sees significant potential to expand the resource base and target enriched zones of magnetic and heavy rare earths across the broader Caldeira Project.
