Solstice Secures Strategic Copper Exposure with Acquisition of Advanced WA Copper-Gold Project
- Acquisition of 100% of the Nanadie Copper-Gold Project, with an existing JORC-compliant Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 40.4Mt @ 0.4% copper and 0.1g/t gold
- Significant exploration upside with the deposit open in multiple directions and under-explored at depth
- Dominant sulphide mineralisation suitable for conventional processing, with potential to deliver a clean copper-gold concentrate
Solstice Minerals Limited (ASX: SLS) has entered into a binding Sale and Purchase Agreement to acquire 100% of the advanced Nanadie Copper-Gold Project from Cyprium Metals Limited. The project comprises granted licences covering 130km2 in the Murchison region of Western Australia, approximately 95km south-east of Meekatharra.
The Nanadie project hosts an existing JORC-compliant Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 40.4Mt @ 0.4% copper and 0.1g/t gold, for 162kt of contained copper and 130koz of gold. The deposit sits in a zone up to 150m wide by 900m long, extends to surface, and is under-explored at the margins, depth, and along strike, offering exceptional exploration upside.
The primary copper mineralisation is disseminated and veinlet style chalcopyrite in a mafic intrusive host rock, with the potential to deliver a clean copper-gold concentrate. Previous drilling has returned impressive intercepts, including 107.8m @ 0.91% Cu and 0.24g/t Au, 76m @ 0.85% Cu and 0.39g/t Au, and 122.3m @ 0.61% Cu and 0.15g/t Au.
Solstice sees opportunities to vector toward increased grade and volume, and discover new mineralised positions with targeted exploration drilling. The company is pleased to have secured a strategic copper endowment in a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction with a clear pathway to delivering resource growth and greenfield exploration success.
Solstice plans to focus on exploration-driven growth at the Nanadie Copper-Gold Project, aiming to expand the existing mineral resource and discover new copper-gold mineralisation along strike and at depth.
