Spacetalk Ltd (ASX: SPA), which develops and sells hardware and software to provide safety at every stage of life, including Australia's best-selling kids smartwatches, has received an R&D tax incentive cash rebate payment of $428,853 from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for the year ended 30 June 2024. The rebate reflects Spacetalk's continued investment in innovation and research to enhance its range of connected devices and launch new services and software. The Australian Government's Research and Development Tax Incentive rebates up to 43.5% of investments that companies make into research and development. Spacetalk Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Simon Crowther, commented that the funding strengthens Spacetalk's cash position and will contribute to ongoing product development and operational initiatives. Crowther also noted that Spacetalk continues to demonstrate strong financial discipline while delivering sustained growth, with 16% growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) to $11.0m in 2Q25 and a 25% reduction in operating payments (excluding inventory) to $3.7m in the same period.
