- Results provide platform for effective mine planning at Second Fortune
Brightstar Resources has received assay results from 23 underground diamond holes drilled at the Second Fortune Gold Mine, located south of Laverton, Western Australia. The drilling program was designed to infill certain areas and test for extensions to the known ore-body, in order to increase confidence in an upcoming Mineral Resource update scheduled for early 2025. Key results from the drilling include:- SFUDD0136: 1.16m @ 30.36g/t Au from 101.6m - SFUDD0116: 2.05m @ 13.85g/t Au from 97.75m- SFUDD0112: 0.42m @ 65.44g/t Au from 164.33m- SFUDD0127: 4.29m @ 4.16g/t Au from 90.18m- SFUDD0130: 1.96m @ 8.36g/t Au from 58.4mThe drilling has confirmed the presence of narrow-vein, high-grade gold mineralization within multiple parallel veins that make up the Second Fortune ore body. The ore body remains open at depth, and the current mine plan is only limited by the extent of drilling completed to date. Brightstar is continuing to advance the Second Fortune mine, with ongoing ore haulage of high-grade stockpiles to Genesis Minerals' Laverton mill expected to result in the first gold pour of 2025 during March. An updated Mineral Resource Estimate for Second Fortune and Brightstar's other assets is also anticipated in early 2025.
Brightstar expects the first gold pour from the Second Fortune mine in March 2025 under the Ore Purchase Agreement with Genesis Minerals.
Brightstar is continuing to advance the Second Fortune mine, with an updated Mineral Resource Estimate scheduled for early 2025. Concurrently, the company is progressing the Definitive Feasibility Study for its Menzies and Laverton operations, and developing the Jasper Hills project.
