Step-Out Drilling Completed at Edjudina Range
- Aircore drilling completed on 200m spaced step-out lines to extend the Edjudina Range greenfield gold target
- Gold mineralisation occurs in silicified iron-oxide altered schist and associated quartz veining
- The Edjudina Range target is completely untested below shallow cover for several kilometres along strike and open at depth
Solstice Minerals Limited (ASX: SLS) has completed aircore drilling at the Edjudina Range Prospect, part of the company's Yarri Gold Project. The drilling was designed to step out from previous reconnaissance aircore drilling that returned a high-grade gold intercept of 6m @ 1.88g/t Au at end-of-hole (EOH), ending in 2.98g/t Au. The new step-out drilling has straddled this initial intercept and extended the target area 200m to the north and south. The step-out and infill holes intersected similar geology and regolith profile to the initial discovery, indicating the potential for the mineralisation to continue along strike. Importantly, the Edjudina Range target is the stratigraphic equivalent of the advanced Statesman Well Gold Prospect, located 9km to the southeast, which has returned numerous significant historical RC gold intercepts. It is also in a similar litho-structural setting to the Bluetooth prospect, 23km to the northwest, where Solstice's recent RC drilling has returned strong shallow gold results. With the initial drilling success, Solstice now plans to mobilise and test the balance of the approximately 4km long soil-covered structural-magnetic target at Edjudina Range, subject to assay results. The company's Yarri Project is located in a well-established gold mining region with existing infrastructure, providing potential pathways to commercialise even modest-scale gold discoveries.
Solstice is planning to further test the full 4km strike length of the Edjudina Range target, subject to assay results from the recent step-out drilling. The company continues to work-up additional quality gold targets across its extensive Yarri Project landholdings, with a focus on testing positions that offer potential for 'stand-alone' scale discoveries.
