Aussie Tech Firm Secures Lucrative Deal, Biotech Completes Key Trial Milestone

Pro Medicus Ltd (PME) has scored a major win, signing a A$15 million, 5-year contract with Duke University Health System. The deal will see PME's Visage 7 Open Archive solution deployed in the cloud, complementing Duke's existing Visage 7 Viewer. Importantly, the contract also extends the current Visage 7 Viewer agreement for an additional 2 years.

Over in the biotech space, Dimerix Limited has reached a significant milestone in its DMX-200 Phase 3 trial for the treatment of FSGS kidney disease. The company has completed recruitment and dosing of the first 144 patients, with plans to fully enroll 286 adults by Q3 2025. A blinded interim data analysis is scheduled for August 2025, which could pave the way for accelerated or conditional approval.

Elsewhere, Empire Energy Group Ltd has successfully drilled its Carpentaria-5H well in the Beetaloo Basin, reaching a total depth of over 5,300 metres. The company also secured a $30 million R&D facility and a $5 million Performance Bond facility from Macquarie Bank, bolstering its liquidity.
