Managing Director Contract Renewed at Kaiser Reef

Kaiser Reef Ltd (ASX:KAU) has renewed the employment contract of Managing Director Brad Valiukas, who has over 25 years of operational, management, and executive experience in the mining industry. Valiukas successfully transitioned from Executive Director - Operations to Managing Director last year, and this renewal secures his ongoing leadership.

Kaiser Reef's Chairman, Steve Formica, commented that the Board has been pleased with the company's operational and overall trajectory under Valiukas' stewardship. The Henty Gold Mine is currently on track to deliver one of its best production years in recent times, and Valiukas is driving a systematic, multi-pronged approach at the Maldon Gold Project to ensure Kaiser Reef fully realizes the potential of this key growth asset.

Synertec Secures TasNetworks ARENA Contract for Powerhouse

Synertec Corporation Limited (ASX: SOP) has executed a contract with TasNetworks to supply its Powerhouse Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solution to six communities across Tasmania. The project is supported by funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and will see Synertec design, manufacture, supply, and commission six front-of-the-meter BESS units.

These BESS units will be installed at publicly accessible sites and connected to existing network infrastructure to improve solar hosting capacity, manage peak demand, support the network's transition to renewable power, and allow TasNetworks to trade energy arbitrage opportunities. The compact, low-noise Powerhouse design was selected for its ability to be presented in a non-industrial aesthetic suitable for public environments.

ARN Media Terminates Contract with Quasar Media and Kyle Sandilands

ARN Media Limited [ASX: A1N] has terminated its contract with Quasar Media and Kyle Sandilands, resulting in the end of the Kyle and Jackie O show. The decision follows ARN's previous notice of breach of contract to Sandilands, which he was given 14 days to remedy. However, ARN has now decided to terminate the contract.

BHP Appoints Brandon Craig as New CEO

BHP Group Limited has announced that Brandon Craig will succeed Mike Henry as the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The transition will take place over the next 12 months, with Craig assuming the role on 1 July 2027.

Craig has held senior leadership roles at BHP since 2015, most recently as President of Minerals Australia. He has over 25 years of experience in the resources industry, having previously held roles at Rio Tinto and Alcoa. Liz Westcott Appointed Woodside CEO

Woodside Energy has appointed Elizabeth (Liz) Westcott as its new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Westcott has served as Woodside's Acting CEO since December 2025 and has over 30 years of experience in the global energy industry.

Woodside Chair Richard Goyder congratulated Westcott on her appointment, which followed a comprehensive recruitment process involving exceptional internal and external candidates. Goyder said Westcott's appointment reflected the depth of executive talent at Woodside and the result of considered succession planning.
