Vysarn Limited has terminated its acquisition of NewGround, calling off a deal that was originally set to close by October 2, 2026. Both parties mutually agreed not to extend the completion date, leading to the termination of the share sale agreement. Big Wins in Engineering and Defense

The contracting world saw some major announcements today. NRW Holdings' subsidiary Primero Group landed a hefty $313 million contract to handle the Mount Magnet Expansion Project for Ramelius Resources, which will involve upgrading processing infrastructure and expanding the production hub. The deal involves supplying and commissioning a next-generation cold spray system at Tinker Air Force Base, with delivery slated for the third quarter of 2027. Synertec Lands Major Nuclear Medicine Project

Synertec Corporation Ltd has been awarded a substantial $45.5 million engineering services contract by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). The project centers on designing and integrating a new Nuclear Medicine Manufacturing Facility at Lucas Heights in New South Wales, part of ANSTO's broader Nuclear Medicine Manufacturing Program. Approximately $36 million is expected to flow through during the initial 26-month design phase, which should meaningfully boost Synertec's FY27 revenue—potentially more than doubling what the company brought in during FY26. The project also promises to strengthen Australia's sovereign capability in nuclear medicine manufacturing.

Telix Scores FDA Win for Brain Cancer Imaging

Telix Pharmaceuticals announced a significant regulatory milestone: the FDA has approved Pixclara, its amino acid PET drug for imaging gliomas. It's the first FDA-approved FET-PET imaging drug on the market, filling a genuine gap in brain cancer diagnostics. Pixclara helps doctors distinguish between recurrent or progressive glioma and treatment-related changes—a critical distinction for patients with the most common form of central nervous system cancer.
