Sand King Underground Ramp Up On Track
- First Sand King Underground development ore processed through the Davyhurst mill with positive reconciliation
- Early grade control drilling indicates a 19% uplift in gold ounce endowment
- Identification of at least three 'blow-out' zones supports potential for bulk stoping opportunities
Ora Banda Mining Ltd has provided an update on the recent mining and geological outcomes at its Sand King Underground mine. The first development ore from Sand King Underground has been processed through the Davyhurst mill, with the reconciled grade 4.3% above expectations and metallurgical recovery at 88.2%, 1.2% above the expected 87%. Early grade control drilling has indicated a 19% uplift in the gold ounce endowment of the deposit, driven by the identification of additional discrete ore lodes and more accurate definition of 'blow-out' zones where intersecting mineralised structures result in localised increases in volume and grade. At least three of these blow-out zones have been identified in the upper levels of the mine. All critical mining infrastructure projects are now complete, with the primary ventilation system and mine escapeway systems commissioned. Sand King Underground remains on track to reach its steady state production rate in June.
