Nova Secures Land for Antimony Refinery in Alaska
- Awarded US$43.4 million from U.S. Department of War to onshore antimony production
- Secured land use permit for antimony refinery at Port MacKenzie, Alaska
- Targeting first antimony production for U.S. military and industrial markets in 2026/27
Nova Minerals Ltd has announced that it has secured land use rights for a 42.81-acre site at Port MacKenzie, Alaska, to establish an antimony refinery. This is a significant step in the company's plan to become a leading supplier of antimony to the U.S. military and domestic markets. Nova has received US$43.4 million in funding from the U.S. Department of War to support its efforts to onshore antimony production in Alaska. The company is targeting first antimony production for delivery to the U.S. military within 24 months. The proposed refinery site at Port MacKenzie is strategically located with access to key infrastructure and utilities, as well as the fast-progressing West Susitna Access Road project. Nova has also attracted strong interest from other antimony projects seeking off-take agreements, and is working to secure additional future supply. In addition to its antimony assets, Nova continues to progress its multi-million ounce gold deposits towards feasibility and production.
Nova is targeting the production of military-spec antimony in 2026/27 from its planned refinery at Port MacKenzie, Alaska.
With the land use permit secured and government funding in place, Nova is rapidly advancing its vision to become the leading U.S. miner and producer of refined antimony products, supporting critical national defense needs.
