EOS Secures $21M Remote Weapon System Order
- New order for R400 Remote Weapon System from North American customer
- Order to be fulfilled in 2026-2027 from Canberra manufacturing facility
- Adds to EOS' growing contract backlog, now over $400M
Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited (EOS) has announced a new order for its R400 Remote Weapon System (RWS) valued at US$21M (approximately A$32M). The order is from a customer in North America and will see the RWS systems deployed on a Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) being manufactured by a prime contractor for an end user in South America. The prime contractor is a large, long-standing defence company with an investment-grade credit rating. The RWS will be manufactured at EOS' facility in Canberra, Australia during 2026 and 2027. In addition to this new order, EOS has previously announced several other new orders secured in 2025, including Slinger Counter-Drone RWS, High Energy Laser Weapons, and R400 RWS for Australia's LAND 400-3 program. As a result, EOS' unconditional Contract Backlog has grown to over $400M as of the date of this announcement, up from $136M at the end of 2024. EOS expects most of this Backlog to be converted into revenue during 2026 and 2027. While EOS has an extensive pipeline of additional sales opportunities, the company notes there is no guarantee these will result in binding sales contracts.
