Strong Take Up of RNTO Options Boosts Rent.com.Au's Funding
- 80% of RNTO options exercised, demonstrating strong investor support
- Additional $1.6 million (before costs) to be raised from underwriting of remaining options
- Improved funding position to support growth and profitability
Rent.com.Au Limited (ASX: RNT) has announced that holders of its listed RNTO options have exercised a total of 80% of the options on issue. The RNTO options were exercisable at $0.04 and were set to expire on 31 December 2025. The remaining 39,397,341 RNTO options have now expired, however, the company had previously entered into an option underwriting agreement with Templar Corporate Pty Ltd to fully underwrite the exercise of the RNTO options. Accordingly, these remaining options will be placed with Templar or its nominees at a price per share of $0.04, raising an additional $1,575,894 (before costs) for the company. The high take-up rate, including by major shareholders and most of the board and senior management, is seen as a strong validation of the company's strategy and momentum. With the additional funds, Rent.com.Au is now well positioned for further growth, with $7.5 million in cash and $5 million in undrawn debt as of 31 December 2025, and the expected $1.6 million (before costs) from the underwriting of the options. The company plans to use the additional funds to support its RentBondĀ® loan offering, which is expected to directly reduce borrowing costs and increase profitability and operating cashflow. Rent.com.Au's CEO, Jan Ferreira, commented that the high level of option take-up sets the company up to achieve significant growth and cashflow positivity in 2026, with a clear strategy to tackle an addressable market greater than $85 billion per annum.
The additional funds are expected to be applied to funding RentBondĀ® loans, directly reducing borrowing costs and increasing profitability and operating cashflow. With a clear strategy to tackle an addressable market greater than $85 billion per annum and an enviable funding position, Rent.com.Au has never been in a better position to deliver on its potential and create significant long-term shareholder value.
