Melbana Energy Limited (ASX: MAY) provided a summary of its activities during the quarter ended 31 December 2025. In Cuba's Block 9 PSC, the Alameda-2 well was shut-in ahead of the planned Amistad-11 drilling, with crude inventory of more than 36,600 barrels at the end of the period. The Amistad-2 well was drilled to a total depth of 2,000 m.MD, with testing indicating a highly permeable reservoir averaging 1,220 bbl/d of water. The Amistad-11 well is planned as a twin to the previously productive Alameda-2 well. In Australia's AC/P70 permit, Melbana updated the Prospective Resource estimates, resulting in a 3.7% increase in Prospective Gas Resource to 2,857 Bcf (unrisked gross best estimate) and an 81% increase in Prospective Oil Resource to 78 MMbbl (unrisked gross best estimate). The company also acquired 18 km of low-cost 2D seismic data in Cuba and had $4.38 million in cash available at the end of the quarter.
