- Extensive exploration program in Finnmark, Norway with BHP Alliance ongoing
- Permitting for drilling at the Penikat Project in Finland being advanced
- Finnmark exploration program to focus on highest priority targets in 2026
Kingsrose Mining Limited (ASX: KRM) has provided an update on its activities for the December 2025 quarter. Key highlights include:- The extensive exploration program in the Finnmark region of Norway, funded by the BHP Alliance, is ongoing. Over 2,000 km of airborne gravity gradiometry and helicopter EM surveys were completed in 2025, and the data is being used to generate, rank and prioritize the most prospective areas for follow-up in 2026.- Permitting for drilling at the Penikat Project in Finland is being advanced, with the company working closely with regulators to address technical oversights identified by the Administrative Court in its decision to overturn the granting of the Exploration Permit. The company is focused on gaining approvals to conduct drilling in Areas 4, 5 and potentially Area 6 in the Q4 2026 exploration season.- The New Business program continues to investigate potential M&A opportunities, with several third parties in detailed discussions.- The company's cash balance as of 31 December 2025 was A$22.444 million, down from A$24.397 million at the end of the previous quarter, with the decrease primarily due to exploration expenditure and administrative/corporate costs.- The company's exploration and tenement portfolio across Fennoscandia remains extensive, with a focus on nickel, copper and platinum group element projects.
The company's focus in 2026 will be on advancing permitting for drilling at the Penikat Project in Finland and continuing the extensive exploration program in the Finnmark region of Norway under the BHP Alliance, with the aim of identifying the highest priority targets for follow-up work.
