New RC Drilling Programme Underway at Vadrians
- Immediate follow-up RC drilling programme commenced at Vadrians within Island Gold Project
- Programme to test northern strike extensions and depth continuity of high-grade gold lodes
- Assays pending for 160 air core holes and 5 diamond holes testing Vadrians depth extensions
Caprice Resources Ltd (ASX: CRS) has announced that it has commenced an immediate follow-up programme of reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Vadrians prospect, situated within the Company's Island Gold Project. The programme is initially scheduled to comprise approximately 5,000m and will focus on testing northern strike extensions of the Vadrians' high-grade gold lode as well as establishing the depth and strike continuity of the mineralisation. This includes following up on previous high-grade intersections such as 9m @ 7.3g/t gold and 10m @ 11.7g/t gold. A key priority of the programme will be to test the southern depth extents of the Vadrians mineralisation down to approximately 350m, which will then inform a deeper diamond drilling campaign. The Company is also awaiting assay results for 160 air core holes drilled across the broader 5km mineralised BIF horizon at the Island Gold Project, which will help identify additional targets for potential follow-up. Assays are also pending for five diamond holes testing the depth extensions of the Vadrians deposit. Caprice's Managing Director, Luke Cox, commented that the RC drilling programme represents the next important step in systematically delineating the Vadrians gold system and establishing the scale and continuity of this emerging gold discovery within the Company's flagship Island Gold Project.
