RC Drilling Underway at Leinster South
- ~3,000m RC drilling program commenced at Leinster South
- Drilling to test priority SAM target and explore along prospective granite-greenstone contact
- Follow-up drilling planned at Thylacine prospect targeting recent high-grade gold intercepts
Metal Hawk Ltd has announced that reverse circulation (RC) drilling has commenced at its 100% owned Leinster South Project, located in the Agnew-Lawlers region of Western Australia. The ~3,000m RC drilling program will focus on testing priority targets along the prospective granite-greenstone contact, as well as exploring the area north of the Tysons gold trend. Several drillholes are also planned at the Thylacine prospect to follow up on recent high-grade gold intercepts and untested mineralised quartz veins. Significant gold assays have been returned from previous drilling at the Tysons prospect, including 13m @ 0.71 g/t Au from 37m (including 2m @ 2.44g/t Au from 47m) and 4m @ 0.99g/t Au from 60m. The recent diamond drilling at Thylacine also returned high-grade gold intersections, including 2.3m @ 15.3g/t Au from 28.1m and 1.7m @7.7g/t Au from 338.6m. The RC drilling campaign is expected to take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to complete, with assay results anticipated 4 to 6 weeks later. In parallel, regional exploration activities are continuing across the project, and new gold targets are being prioritised.
