ADVANCED SATELLITE ANALYSIS REVEALS 8KM TARGET CORRIDOR
- Advanced satellite and airborne spectral analysis confirms extensive epithermal alteration system
- 8km long regional target alteration zone from Dress Circle to Mammoth
- 1.1km long high intensity alteration zone linking Horseshoe to Jumbo prospects
OD6 Metals Limited (ASX: OD6) is pleased to announce the results of advanced satellite and airborne hyperspectral analysis, which has identified a large-scale epithermal alteration system extending over 8km at the Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada, USA. This work significantly enhances the geological understanding of the project and highlights the potential for large-scale, high-grade fluorspar mineralization beyond known historical occurrences. The analysis has confirmed an 8km long regional target alteration zone from Dress Circle to Mammoth, as well as a 1.1km long high intensity alteration zone linking the Horseshoe and Jumbo prospects. The Dress Circle anomaly, a previously un-explored 1.8 by 2km zone of intense alteration in limestones associated with circular to arcuate structures, is indicative of a potential intrusive mineral source at depth. The identification of specific alteration minerals, such as pyrophyllite, alunite-dickite, and muscovite-illite, indicates a strong hydrothermal corridor linking the Horseshoe, North Horseshoe, and Jumbo fluorspar occurrences. This presents a 1.1km target corridor where the replacement/breccia style mineralization may be linked under shallow cover. The scale of the alteration system significantly enhances the potential of the historic fluorspar occurrences, elevating them to a potentially globally significant target zone.
OD6 Metals plans to conduct a comprehensive due diligence program at the Quinn Fluorspar Project, including systematic surface rock chip and channel sampling, detailed geological mapping and structural interpretation, soil geochemistry sampling, and the development and prioritization of drill targets across the district. The company will also commence permitting requirements for the initial drill program and review metallurgical sampling and testing needs.
