Beetaloo Energy Receives $15.4M R&D Tax Offset, Provides Operational Update
- $15.4 million R&D Tax Offset refund received
- Funds to support Carpentaria Pilot Project and gas plant construction
- Positions company to commence pilot gas production in 2026
Beetaloo Energy Australia Limited has received a $15.4 million R&D tax refund, including interest, under the Australian Government's Research and Development Tax Incentive. This funding will materially strengthen the company's balance sheet as it works towards pilot gas production from the Carpentaria Pilot Project. The refund will be used to repay part of the company's R&D credit facility, progress the Carpentaria Gas Plant construction and associated infrastructure, advance the Carpentaria Pilot Project towards first gas production and sales, and provide additional working capital flexibility. All civil works for the Carpentaria Gas Plant have been completed, with refurbishment works in Roma also now complete. The plant is ready for transport to site, which will commence in the coming weeks once weather conditions allow. Beetaloo Energy is well-positioned to commence pilot gas production and supply gas into the Northern Territory domestic market in 2026, with all key regulatory and Traditional Owner approvals secured and three wells ready to be tied into pilot production. The company's exploration tenements in the McArthur Basin and Beetaloo Sub-basins have demonstrated enormous conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon potential, and industry activity in the region is expected to continue increasing.
Beetaloo Energy expects to commence pilot gas production and sales into the Northern Territory market in 2026.
