Forrestania Commences Ore Haulage to Lake Johnston
- Forrestania has commenced haulage operations from British Hill gold deposit to Lake Johnston processing facility
- Lake Johnston plant commissioning commencing in 2026
- Forrestania collaborating with Shire of Dundas to improve Hyden-Norseman Road
Forrestania Resources Ltd (ASX: FRS) has announced that it has commenced haulage operations from the company's British Hill gold deposit to the wholly-owned Lake Johnston processing facility. This marks a significant milestone for Forrestania as it advances towards gold production, with the Lake Johnston plant commissioning expected to commence during 2026. The Lake Johnston processing facility, which was acquired by Forrestania in late 2025, is undergoing a staged refurbishment and recommissioning process led by engineering consultants Polaris Engineering. Upon completion, the facility is expected to deliver a throughput capacity of approximately 3.2 million tonnes per annum. Forrestania is also collaborating with the Shire of Dundas to improve sections of the Hyden-Norseman Road, which is a significant route for industry and tourism in the region. The company's chairman, David Geraghty, commented that the scale and design of the Lake Johnston plant will provide a long-term processing solution capable of supporting both Forrestania's internal resources, like British Hill, as well as potential third-party ore sources.
Forrestania is rapidly moving toward production from the Lake Johnston strategic asset during 2026. The company is advancing a strategy to define significant gold resources that can support long-term development opportunities across its portfolio of projects in Western Australia's premier mining districts.
