Somerset Minerals Provides Quarterly Activities Update
- Drilling resumed at Jura (Coppermine) with high-grade copper intercepts
- Regional exploration identified the Talisker Corridor as a high-priority target
- Ongoing exploration activities planned for H1 2026 across Coppermine and Talisker
Somerset Minerals Ltd (ASX:SMM) reported on its activities during the March 2026 quarter, which included a dual-tracked exploration campaign. The company focused on delineating mineralisation at the Jura (Coppermine) project, while also advancing the broader 1,665 km2 Coppermine project area through regional geophysical and geochemical surveys. Drilling resumed at Jura, with results including 42.7m @ 2.69% Cu from 15.24m, 59.4m @ 1.5% Cu from 83.8m, and 39.6m @ 1.61% Cu from 111.3m. The regional exploration program identified multiple new targets, with the standout being the Talisker Corridor, a ~17 km long coincident geochemical and geophysical anomaly containing samples up to 3,790 ppm Cu (0.38%). Talisker is located approximately 5 km from White Cliff Minerals' Danvers deposit and is interpreted to be connected to the same regional fault structure. Somerset plans to follow up on the Talisker anomaly with infill soil sampling and a maiden drill campaign in H1 2026, in addition to the ongoing diamond drilling at Jura.
Somerset Minerals plans to continue its dual-tracked exploration approach in H1 2026, with approximately 3,000 m of diamond drilling at Jura to follow up on the high-grade copper intercepts, as well as infill soil sampling and a maiden drill campaign at the newly identified Talisker Corridor target.
