Black Rock Mining Limited (ASX: BKT) has provided an update on activities at its Mahenge Graphite Project in Tanzania for the quarter ending 31 March 2026. The company's focus during the quarter was on the early works program to complete sufficient works to support a rapid ramp-up of construction activity once the project is fully funded and a Final Investment Decision (FID) is made. Key milestones completed include compensation payments for Project Affected Persons within the Faru John Road corridor, resettlement of the mining licence area, and the award of the bulk earthworks contract to Tanzanian contractor Taifa Mining and Civils Limited. Preliminary work on the 220kV transmission line to connect the project to hydro-dominated grid power was also completed. The company is engaged in ongoing discussions with multiple parties to secure project financing and is confident that a suitable financing structure may be developed in the near term.
