Sigma Healthcare Limited (ASX: SIG) has provided an update ahead of its participation in the 2026 Macquarie Australia Conference on 5-6 May. CEO and Managing Director Vikesh Ramsunder will provide key updates on Chemist Warehouse sales, the company's entry into the UK market, and its new distribution centre in New Zealand. Chemist Warehouse sales have continued to show strong momentum, with financial year to date sales growth of 16.7% and like-for-like growth of 14.4% in the Australian store network, and 24.7% sales growth and 11.8% like-for-like growth in the international store network. Growth in GLP1 sales is expected to continue.Sigma has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Greenlight Healthcare Limited to enter the UK market. Under the joint venture, Sigma will acquire a 75% interest in a number of Greenlight's existing stores, with Greenlight holding the remaining 25%. Sigma will provide the Chemist Warehouse brand, retail support, and other capabilities, while Greenlight will handle dispensary, professional services, and back-office support. In New Zealand, Sigma has entered into a 15-year lease agreement for a 23,000 square metre distribution centre in Wiri, south of Auckland. The facility will be temperature-controlled and feature specialized capabilities to service the growing Chemist Warehouse network in New Zealand, which Sigma is targeting to expand to over 100 stores long-term.
Sigma is currently not seeing any material disruption in its ability to source or deliver products or services, and is absorbing increased fuel costs within existing financial targets. The company holds significant inventory in its distribution centre network to service the market.
