Full Summary

Lunnon Metals Limited (ASX: LM8) has provided an update on recent exploration results for the Plentiful and Paringa West gold prospects, both located within the Paringa Gold Belt on the western side of the company's Foster-Baker gold project (FBA). At Paringa West, a 20m x 20m RC drilling program returned significant results, including 14m @ 2.62 g/t Au, 13m @ 1.73 g/t Au and 15m @ 1.10 g/t Au. For the first time since the company's inception, visible gold was observed in RC drill chips. A single diamond drill hole, PBS26DD_006W1, intersected multiple narrow structures with visible gold, assaying 0.5m @ 41.98 g/t Au and 0.5m @ 0.43 g/t Au. These results, along with numerous other significant intercepts in the vicinity, highlight the gold prospectivity of the Paringa Gold Belt. At Plentiful, the first EIS hole, PBS25DD_005, exited the Plentiful Dolerite at 330m downhole and did not intersect any structures analogous to the Orchin-Defiance structures. However, it did intersect the down plunge position of the Plentiful structure within the dolerite, returning 1.9m @ 1.18 g/t Au. Additional drilling further to the northwest along the Plentiful Dolerite identified that the dolerite is much wider at depth than expected, increasing the potential target area. The second EIS hole has been designed to test the north-western termination of the Plentiful Dolerite, which could be the result of cross-cutting gold-bearing structures.

Outlook

The key to unlocking the potential of the Paringa West target area is to understand the structural complexity and characterise the stratigraphic variations. A small number of strategically oriented diamond drill holes, followed by RC drilling, have been planned to commence later in the June quarter. At Plentiful, the second EIS hole has been designed to test the north-western termination of the Plentiful Dolerite, with the objective of discovering the cause of the apparent termination, which could be the result of cross-cutting gold-bearing structures.
