Viridis Mining and Minerals Limited has successfully produced its first batch of high-grade Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate (MREC) from its state-of-the-art Demonstration Plant at the Colossus Project in Poços de Caldas, Brazil. This milestone highlights the plant's capability to process ionic clay into a saleable MREC product, positioning Viridis among a select few Western companies with such in-house processing capabilities. The Demonstration Plant, designed for 100kg/hr clay feed throughput, incorporates advanced automation and is among the largest of its kind outside China. The production of MREC supports ongoing offtake discussions, validates the Colossus Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), and aids in the procurement of long-lead equipment. Viridis aims to finalize offtake agreements, complete the DFS by the end of June 2026, and place initial long-lead item orders during Q3 2026, with commercial production targeted for 2028.
