RRE.ASX: Drilling Results at Pilot Confirm Transitional RIRGS Halo
- Drilling confirms position within RIRGS model; core remains untested
- Low grades reflect position in the system, not system potential
- Evidence of high nugget gold supports upside potential
- Large, coherent mineralised system defined
- Third hole testing major structural corridor, assays pending
Right Resources Limited's drilling at the Pilot Project in Tumbarumba, NSW, indicates the presence of a transitional halo within a Reduced Intrusive Related Gold System (RIRGS). Results from holes RRPT0001 and RRPT0004 show low-grade gold mineralization consistent with the transitional halo of the RIRGS model, as predicted by CODES. The high-grade proximal core, which has not yet been tested, is expected to contain significantly higher grades of gold. The drilling has identified a large, coherent mineralised system with gold-bearing quartz veining across a 2.4km x 2.9km footprint. Assays using PhotonAssay (PA) have shown higher gold grades compared to Fire Assay (FA), suggesting the presence of nugget-style gold. A third hole, RRPT0002, is testing a major structural corridor within the MTPR02 geophysical anomaly. Assay results are pending. Further testwork using Screen Fire Assay (SFA) is underway to validate PA results, particularly at lower detection limits.
The company is optimistic about the potential of the untested proximal core to contain higher-grade gold mineralization, pending further drilling and assay results.
