Aldoro Resources Confirms High-Grade Niobium at Kameelburg
Key Points
  • DD003B confirms high-grade niobium at the carbonatite margin
  • High-grade niobium zones identified at the margin
  • High-grade REE-Sr zone found toward the centre of the intrusion
  • Results support upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate
Full Summary

Aldoro Resources Ltd has reported assay results from diamond drill hole DD003B at the Kameelburg REE-Strontium-Niobium Project in Namibia. The hole confirms the company's mineralisation-zoning model for the carbonatite, with high-grade niobium occurring at the margin of the intrusion and high-grade rare-earth mineralisation concentrated toward the centre. DD003B returned a cumulative 169.7m at 0.81% TREO, 3.21% SrCO3 and 0.43% Nb2O5, including several high-grade niobium sub-zones. The hole also intersected a high-grade REE-Sr zone of 5m at 2.94% TREO, 7.64% SrCO3 and 0.09% Nb2O5. These results validate the geological prediction that DD003B, drilled to the east across the margin of the intrusion, would preferentially sample the niobium-enriched beforsite phase, providing important vectoring and boundary control for the upcoming final Phase II Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). The confirmation of a niobium-enriched margin grading inward to a rare-earth-rich core materially de-risks the geological model underpinning the upcoming MRE, which is anticipated to be released upon receipt of the remaining Phase II assays.
