Dicker Data Announces Leadership Transition
Dicker Data (ASX: DDR) is undergoing a significant leadership change as co-founder David Dicker steps down from his roles as CEO, Chairman, and director. After co-founding the company in 1978 and playing a pivotal part in its success, Mr. Dicker will now pursue other interests.
However, Dicker Data is in capable hands, with an experienced three-person executive team - Vladimir Mitnovetski, Mary Stojcevski, and Ian Welch - taking the reins. This team brings a wealth of expertise and a shared commitment to driving the company forward. Fiona Brown, the other co-founder, will transition into an Executive Chair role to provide strategic guidance.
While Mr. Dicker will no longer be an executive, he has agreed to a six-month consultancy agreement to offer strategic advice. The company is grateful for his vision and contribution in building Dicker Data into the strong, innovative organization it is today.
Comms Group to Acquire TasmaNet in Strategic Move
Comms Group Ltd (ASX:CCG) has signed a binding agreement to acquire the business and assets of TasmaNet, a leading provider of communication and IT services in Tasmania. This transformational deal is expected to expand Comms Group's scale, service capabilities, and financial performance.
The acquisition adds significant network assets, including fixed wireless, fibre optic, and private cloud infrastructure, as well as over 600 government and business customers in Tasmania. It is expected to increase Comms Group's annualised revenue to ~$75 million and annualised underlying EBITDA to ~$9-10 million.
To fund the $10 million acquisition, Comms Group is raising $7 million through a placement and entitlement offer. The company sees this as a strategic move to increase its market share and geographical presence across the corporate and mid-market sectors, with particular opportunities to leverage the combined service offering to win larger customers.
