Crimson Consulting Extends Takeover Offer for Kip McGrath Education
Crimson Consulting Australia has extended its off-market takeover offer for Kip McGrath Education Centres Limited to 27 October 2026. The extension was triggered automatically after Crimson's voting power exceeded 50% in the final week of the original offer period, which was set to close on 19 October. The board of Kip McGrath has now unanimously recommended that shareholders accept the offer without delay, provided no superior proposal emerges.
WiseTech Global Clears ASIC Hurdles
WiseTech Global has resolved its regulatory matters with ASIC following investigations into alleged share trading and governance issues. The regulator issued no-action letters to three current WiseTech employees, meaning no enforcement action will be taken against them. While the investigation into one non-employee remains ongoing, ASIC has also cleared WiseTech itself from any enforcement action related to the governance investigation.
Medical Developments Shifts Leadership
Medical Developments International announced a leadership transition, with CEO Brent MacGregor stepping down effective 15 October 2026. CFO Anita James has been appointed interim CEO to maintain continuity, while MacGregor will remain in an advisory capacity through mid-November as the board searches for a permanent replacement.
The company's latest quarterly results showed strong momentum despite the leadership change. Penthrox delivered impressive growth across key markets, with European in-market volumes climbing 37% and Australian hospital segment volumes rising 24%. The surge in Europe was driven by the recent approval of a paediatric label, which is opening new use cases. Looking ahead, MVP expects continued demand for Penthrox in FY27, stable performance in its respiratory segment, and a normalization of inventory stocking benefits.
DroneShield Delivers Strong Revenue Momentum
DroneShield has announced FY2026 Committed Revenue of $261 million, hitting the midpoint of its guidance range and representing a 35% increase year-on-year. The company is averaging $5 million in weekly revenue and has already secured $29 million in committed revenue for FY2027, with an additional $17 million locked in for FY2028 and beyond.
The company is backing this growth with significant operational expansion, including a new 3,000 square meter facility in Australia and manufacturing capabilities in Europe. DroneShield is also broadening its product portfolio with next-generation solutions like the RfAI-3 powered RfRecon, supported by an open interoperable architecture designed for multi-layered deployment across military and non-military segments.
Fiducian Reports Solid Growth Despite Regulatory Headwind
Fiducian Group delivered a resilient FY2026 performance, with operating revenue climbing 8% to $96.1 million and net revenue rising 9% to $74.4 million. Funds under Management, Advice and Administration grew 7% to $15.88 billion, while underlying net profit after tax jumped 15% to $24.2 million. The company maintained strong margins at 45.7% of net revenue and boosted its cash position by $2.2 million to $37.1 million.
The board declared a fully franked final dividend of 28.2 cents per share, bringing the full-year payout to 53.7 cents. However, the company took a one-off hit of $7.95 million for an ASIC penalty and related costs, which was accrued in the full-year results.
On the quarterly front, Fiducian's core platform attracted a net inflow of $54 million, though this was down from $102 million in the previous quarter. Legacy Independent Financial Adviser operations saw a $22 million net outflow. The badged platform and Auxilium fund balance edged up to $261 million. Looking forward, the company plans to implement AI agents to enhance productivity and client servicing capabilities.
