Arena REIT lifts FY2027 distribution guidance to 20 cents per security
Arena REIT has raised its distribution guidance for FY2027 to 20.0 cents per security, marking a 3.9% increase from the prior year. The boost reflects solid progress in unwinding its troubled Edge Early Learning portfolio, with the company now having contracted sales on two additional early learning centre properties in October. Combined with earlier disposals, the company expects to pocket $23.1 million from property sales this financial year—a healthy 7.9% premium to book value. The updated guidance sits towards the top end of the range the REIT flagged back in October, though it does assume all announced Edge transactions receive the necessary approvals and that there are no fresh acquisitions or material shifts in market conditions.
Orthocell's partner scores FDA green light for marine bone graft
Regenerative medicine player Orthocell has received welcome news from across the Pacific. Its strategic partner Marine Biomedical has secured FDA 510(k) clearance for PearlBone, an innovative bone graft substitute derived from sustainably sourced pearl shell. The clearance opens the U.S. market for the product, representing a significant milestone for Marine Biomedical and a meaningful development for Orthocell, which holds a 12% stake in the venture. The company invested A$1.05 million in Marine Biomedical and has locked in a first right of refusal over global distribution rights for PearlBone and future bone repair products. Orthocell sees considerable potential in the global bone repair market and is eyeing the commercialisation phase ahead.
Power Minerals bounces back with A$5M strategic investment
Power Minerals has emerged from a trading suspension with a shot in the arm. Critical Metals Corp (Nasdaq: CRML), via its subsidiary European Lithium, is injecting A$5 million into the company to fund exploration at its high-grade Morro do Ferro rare earth project in Brazil. Upon completion, Critical Metals will hold approximately 8% of Power Minerals, providing strategic exposure to the project and opening doors to international funding and development opportunities. Trading in Power Minerals securities has resumed immediately following the announcement.
Viking Mines advances Linka tungsten project with encouraging drill results
Viking Mines is making steady progress on its Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada, with drilling confirming high-grade mineralisation both above and below historical workings. Metallurgy testwork has delivered promising results, producing a 56.9% WO3 scheelite concentrate at 76.0% recovery, validating a conventional processing approach. The company is evaluating multiple pathways forward, including modular facility and toll-treatment options, while permitting studies advance with baseline data collection to support a late 2027 mining permit application. All five workstreams—resource evaluation, metallurgy, processing, permitting, and growth potential—are tracking as planned, positioning the company for a potential restart of tungsten production.
Clever Culture Systems funds new benchtop automation system
Clever Culture Systems has secured $2.6 million in funding to accelerate development of APAS® Revolution, a new benchtop version of its Automated Plate Assessment System designed for smaller sterile drug manufacturers. The move could expand the addressable market by roughly 50% to an estimated $4.3 billion, tapping into facilities currently without automation solutions. The funding package combines a $1.0 million capital raise with a $1.6 million unsecured loan due for repayment in November 2027. Leveraging existing APAS® Independence technology keeps development costs and timelines in check, with the company expecting the new system to deliver payback in under two years from launch.
