Strong Quarterly Results for XRF Scientific, Fiducian Settles with ASIC, and Qoria Merger Update
XRF Scientific has reported a solid March 2026 quarter, with revenue up 13.8% to $15.8 million and profit before tax climbing 10.7% to $3.7 million. The key driver was strong international sales, particularly in Asia, which helped offset some of the costs associated with setting up a new office in India. The company also saw robust demand for its consumable products and capital equipment, including the first shipments of its new xrFuse 1 and 2 models.
Over at Fiducian Group, the March quarter brought a mixed bag of results. The company's aligned dealer-group saw net inflows of $45 million, but the legacy independent financial adviser business experienced net outflows of $17 million. Fiducian also announced that it has reached an agreement with ASIC to pay a $7.3 million penalty and legal costs related to civil proceedings.
On the merger front, Qoria provided an update on its proposed tie-up with Aura. The parties continue to make progress, though the timeline has shifted slightly, with disclosure documents now expected in May and the shareholder vote and closing slated for July. To help cover transaction costs and strengthen its balance sheet until the merger is complete, Qoria has secured a $10 million unsecured working capital facility from Aura.
Elsewhere, Duratec's joint venture with Ertech has been awarded a $281 million contract for infrastructure upgrades at HMAS Stirling in Western Australia. This marks a significant milestone for the partnership, as it supports Australia's future submarine capability under the AUKUS agreement.
And Vysarn's subsidiary has been shortlisted by Water Corporation to participate in a formal process to potentially supply bulk water to the Port Hedland region. The company is also advancing regulatory approvals and commercial discussions for its Kariyarra Water Scheme.
All in all, it's been a busy day for ASX-listed companies, with a mix of strong operational results, strategic developments, and legal/regulatory updates. Investors will be closely watching these stories as they continue to unfold.
