Eureka Acquires Two Rental Communities in Victoria
Eureka Group Holdings Limited (ASX: EGH) has expanded its all-age rental portfolio with the acquisition of two communities on the Victorian East Coast - Frenchview Lifestyle Village and Paynesville Holiday Park. The combined $14.1 million transaction adds 199 sites, including 109 land lease homes, 24 park-owned rentals, 19 development-ready sites, and 47 short-term and annual sites.
The Frenchview Lifestyle Village in Grantville was acquired for $7.5 million at an initial yield of 7.9%, while the Paynesville Holiday Park was purchased for $6.6 million at a 7.6% initial yield. These acquisitions align with Eureka's strategy of growing its all-age rental portfolio in regional locations with favorable demographic and housing market fundamentals.
BHP Delivers Strong Operational Performance
BHP has reported strong operational performance across its copper and iron ore operations. Copper production is now expected to be in the upper half of the FY26 guidance range, with Escondida and Antamina offsetting lower production at Spence. Iron ore production remains on track, with the company's Western Australian Iron Ore (WAIO) business achieving record output.
BHP also announced that Brandon Craig will succeed Mike Henry as CEO, effective July 1, 2026. Brandon brings over 25 years of operational and corporate leadership experience at BHP, having most recently served as the company's President Americas.
Cochlear Cuts FY26 Earnings Guidance on Weaker Demand
Cochlear Limited (ASX: COH) has reduced its FY26 underlying net profit guidance to $290-330 million, citing softer trading conditions in developed markets, uncertainty in the Middle East, and the need to reshape its cost base to invest in growth. The company noted a combination of hospital capacity constraints, reduced referral activity, and declining consumer sentiment in key markets.
To better position the business for growth, Cochlear is accelerating the process of reshaping its organization to deliver a more flexible and lower cost-to-serve cost base. This will involve strengthening referral pathways, continuing investment in new products and digital capability, and driving scale across its support activities.
DroneShield Delivers Record Quarterly Results
DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO) reported its strongest quarterly performance to date, with record customer cash receipts and the second-highest revenue quarter. Revenue for the first quarter of 2026 was $74.1 million, up 121% from the prior corresponding period, and the company achieved positive net operating cash flow for the fourth consecutive quarter.
DroneShield's FY2026 committed revenue stands at $154.8 million, up from $94.4 million a year earlier, providing a solid foundation for the year ahead. The company continues to see a steady flow of repeat and new end-user orders, with a robust sales pipeline of $2.2 billion across 312 projects.
Advanced Braking Technology Ltd Reports Strong Q3 FY26 Results
Advanced Braking Technology Ltd (ABT) has reported strong Q3 FY26 results, with a 28% increase in product sales revenue to $6.0 million and a 60.3% increase in year-to-date net profit before tax. The company's strategic focus on international expansion continues to gain traction, with key engagements in North America and South Africa during the quarter.
ABT's aftermarket growth model is also proving successful, with Spares and Consumables revenue surging by 52% to $3.10 million. The company's collision avoidance systems (CAS) business offers significant growth opportunities and further strengthens its position as a leading safety OEM brand in the mining market.
